Have you ever typed in the wrong spelling in a search? Well I
have - more times than I can say and often times it returns a pearl.
It was not the biggest oyster in the sea but it was a little pearl
nonetheless.
Also,
product names can have slight variations. For example, Designs Magazine has a
product called Magna-Hoop. However, people could easily search on
MagnaHoop. Look for obvious mistakes people are likely
to make and then incorporate some of them into one of your pages in some way to
pick up traffic you'd otherwise miss.
Keyword targeting is key. Choose the
right keywords or keyword combinations, and you'll see your traffic skyrocket.

The question to ask yourself is how do you really know if you're optimizing
your pages for keywords that your customers are looking for? There are several
good techniques you can apply to determine what people might be searching for:
a) Put yourself in their shoes and brainstorm.
b) See what keywords your competitors are targeting to spur new ideas.
(To do this -- browse to any page -- select view source and look at the very top
of the page between the tag) Yes - it is that easy.
c) Remember to use key word phrases in your selection as a single
keyword often return the less effective leads.
